Stimulus Exam Preparation Course

Dept of Orthopedics conducts yearly program for post graduate students exam preparation course. Stimulus’ 2016, 2017 have been successful courses. Stimulus’ 2018 will be conducted in March 2018. The students learn practical tips in case presentations, hear the DNB examiners for ideal way of answering questions. Day seminar for Pune Orthopaedic Society

We are conducting various educational seminars for the local orthopaedic society. In 2014 we did for Spine Diseases which was attended by more than 50 delegates.

In 2015 we did for the Clubfoot Workshop with practical training in giving plaster cast to the patients of Clubfoot.

Clubfoot Day celebrations

In 2013 we had organized a day for parents of Clubfoot disease. We had treated hundreds of children with this disease. They are doing good in schools and sports. We had encouraged their parents to speak about their experiences during and after treatment. This also encouraged our new and existing patient base through interaction for persuation of treatment. POS trophy for the Best Organized Symposium

We were selected for this prestigious award for one of the Best organized symposium for Spine Diseases in 2014. We received a circulating trophy which encouraged us to continue on the path of training the local clinicians for their best output in patient care. Read more...

Saw bone Workshop for TKR

In 2011 we organized a saw bone workshop for TKR at our department. This was attended by around 40 delegates including the the newly passed out postgraduates and senior clinicians who wanted to understand the technique of this new surgical remedy.

Scientific Research

  • In association with our own research institute IRSHA, we are many study projects. We do remarkable work in Knee Osteoarthritis.
  • We speak to senior citizen groups through talks and presentations about change of lifestyles, simple day today exercises, weight reduction and dietary supplements which helps them to control this disabling painful disease.
  • The nutritional supplement, Omega 3 fatty acid, has been used in our studies for improving the cartilage health.
  • We are also part of INNO-INDIGO program which includes multiple countries for research participation. Belgium, Estonia, Germany and India are participating for this 3 year research program since 2016.
  • We also have GAG, NO, Interlukin 1 (IL1) study for synovial fluid assessment in patients undergoing Knee Replacement.
