Head of Department's Message
Welcome to the Department of Otorhinolaryngology. Since our inception in 1989, the Department of Otorhinolaryngology (Head and Neck Surgery) has stayed deeply committed to bridging compassionate patient care with world-class academic training. We believe that true medical leadership is forged at the intersection of clinical experience and modern innovation.
With an immense clinical volume exceeding 25,000 outpatients annually, our trainees are exposed to an incredibly rich ecosystem of clinical cases—ranging from routine otology to complex, multi-disciplinary skull-base surgeries and airway reconstructions. Our specialized clinics, such as the Voice and Airway Clinic and our Cochlear Implant program, are testaments to how we bring high-end, sub-specialty care to the communities that need it most.
As we look toward the future, our focus is expanding rapidly into robotic head and neck surgery, sialendoscopy, and facial trauma training. Whether you are a student, a researcher, or a patient seeking care, you are choosing a department driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence and empathy."

Innovative Teaching Learning
Hands-on Surgical Simulation
Rather than relying solely on traditional classroom learning, postgraduate residents spend structured hours in our dedicated Temporal Bone Dissection Lab. Under direct faculty supervision, students perform simulated micro-ear dissections on specimen using clinical drills and microscopes.
Sub-Specialty Case-Based Rounds
Postgraduate students rotate through specialized clinical hubs like the Voice and Airway Clinic and Vertigo Centre. They gain direct experience with real-time diagnostic technologies, such as watching live video-stroboscopy with i-scan color enhancements to learn how to spot subtle vocal cord lesions.
Simulation Based training
Conducting Simulation based training for UG & PG students
