Innovative Teaching Learning
A hands-on suturing skills training session was conducted at the Simulation Laboratory on 2nd January 2026 for medical interns. The session was led by Dr. Girija Wagh, Dr. Salil Barsode, Dr. Rohan Wagh, and Dr. Shruti Bhalodiya, who provided expert guidance on the fundamental principles and techniques of surgical suturing.
The workshop emphasized the development of essential practical skills through supervised demonstrations and hands-on practice. Interns were trained in instrument handling, knot tying, wound closure techniques, and the selection and application of various suture materials. The faculty provided individualized feedback, enabling participants to refine their technique and improve precision.
The interactive nature of the session allowed interns to gain confidence in performing basic surgical procedures in a simulated environment. The training served as an important step in enhancing procedural competency and preparing interns for clinical and surgical responsibilities.
